In my latest story for Yahoo Entertainment, I take a look at Anyone But You's surprising box office success, what factors led to the "raunch com's" rise, why Shakespeare (and Austen) are often go-to sources for the genre and if the film will usher in a new era of modern rom-coms.

Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell's 'Anyone But You' was a surprise box office success. How the movie may usher in a new wave of modern rom-coms. yahoo.com

What can one say about POOR THINGS? Here's a production that doesn't look quite like anything we've ever seen and breaks plenty of taboos. It's full of imagination, inspired visuals, bawdy humor, and grotesque behavior. But it also contains an overwhelming surge of ideas. Ultimately, it's a story about one woman's self-actualization, brought to life with a no-boundaries performance by Emma Stone. It might be the best film of 2023. I Know Something Very Few People On This Planet Know.™EPISODE 1Moby wrote MOBY: PLAY to enhance his favorite non-narrative documentary film, Baraka, which came out in 1992.You likely received this film free with your first DVD player back in 2001.How do I know Moby wrote PLAY for Baraka? The same way most people know Dark Side of the Moon was written for The Wizard of Oz.Which is to say, one just has to assume.Because it does sync up perfectly ... until about the 18th track where it completely falls apart.MOBY: PLAY was released in 1999, which means he had 7 years to partially score his favorite movie.I say partially because Baraka is 97 minutes long and PLAY runs 63 minutes.Projects are never finished, they're abandoned, okay?Or maybe the rest of the film just wasn’t his favorite.Who, other than Moby, can really know for sure? What I do know is that I’ve seen it and I believe it and nothing, NOTHING can convince me otherwise short of Moby confronting me personally and insisting it just ain’t true (withoutwinking or blinking). How to experience it yourself:Play Baraka on mute (get it? Play Baraka?) and wait to start Moby's PLAY until the first credit begins to appear. You won’t be disappointed.Or you might be.I don’t know you.------------------------➕ Follow for more like this.Or ring the 🔔 to be notified.#freelance#motiondesign#motiongraphics#motion#videoediting#videoproduction#moby #mobyplay #baraka #film #music #mashup

If someone wrote the screenplay, and made a movie about your life, what type of movie would it be...?Action...?Thriller...?Comedy...?Romance...?Horror...?Or would it simply be a remake Groundhog Day...?We write our own screenplay, we Produce, Direct and Star in our own movie ..We choose our co--stars, the support crew and costumes...But we don't get Post Production, we don't get to edit, it's all shot in one take with no rehearsals or retakes...So we need to choose well...Maybe we need to change the genre, the script and the cast...Pick a better location, lighting and wardrobe...I've always had a great cast, co-star and crew. We changed our genre, location and plot...Hence, France, cottage and 44 years as a pair with The Blonde One...Our relationship has defined, moulded and been the foundation of our lives. We just chose to change the script we were given...We can make whatever movie we like, just change the screenplay...What will you choose to change...? #change #life #coaching

Why....?I am trying to understand why magazines like Rolling Stones, Forbes and others, can present reviews of SOUND OF FREEDOM without actually talking about the film. Why do they focus on trying to discredit the cast and staff that made the movie? Why do they ignore that the movie is a true story of events that actually happened. Why would major periodicals struggling to get subscribers allow their staff to do this? What possible motivation could major media outlets have to discredit a project opposed to child trafficking? Even if the film were fiction (it is not) it is an excellently made film, and well produced. We need to evaluate the media outlets we support. We need to evaluate the businesses we support. We need to evaluate if we support children or want to ignore that trafficking exists. Please watch the movie SOUND OF FREEDOM and make your own decision regarding the quality of the movie. Take a friend.#soundoffreedommovie #endchildtrafficking #moviestowatch #storytelling #impact
