Classic NCL--not a bad thing, at all
"
Get a stogie (pro tip: bring your own onto the ship, as those in the room are massively overpriced) & just listen to the banter.Being a smaller ship, my cabin was JUST ABOUT across from their stern dining area) who may never be the same again).

First, let me say that NCL was always our favorite cruise line, but apparently, that was then, this is now.We chose this particular itinerary because of the ports. It was to be the “cruise of a lifetime”, but it was the cruise from hell.We booked about 10 months ago, paid for in full in January. Less than 2 weeks before the cruise we got an email saying they removed 2 ports. Unfortunately,

On the ship now and grateful we only have a few more days. For my family of 5, this has been a terrible experience. We took our 14 year d daughter to the clinic to make sure she didn’t have appendicitis and got a bill for $2,500!! All they did was a simple blood and urine test and told us it would cost $149 for her to be seen. Also, the food has been below average to average at best. The

Got food poisoning & we were quarantined for 2 ports! It was aweful!!! They knew they poison people because they didn’t charge us for the medical visit & meds given onboard. We were a group of 18 people. This was our first cruise & it was the worst experience ever!!! It was a total waste of our money & time! Our first port was supposed to be Hav’re, France & we were going to Paris, but they

Just got back from an incredible trip on the NCL Getaway- Southampton to Copenhagen! We upgraded our balcony room to a Club mini suite - so bigger bathroom, bag of laundry included, cookies, chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne included. Our cabin steward Danielle was amazing - no matter what time we left the cabin and came back, the room was always done and she was friendly and worked so

First impressions are everything !! Waiting hours to board when we showed up 2 hours late because ship was late. Wheelchair customers were only being taken 2 at a time with 20 minute wait between the next set of two. They didn’t finish boarding handicap customers until 6pm… shameful !!! Over the crew were outstanding but management were clueless !! When we got to Dublin we waited over 2 hours

Quick review of transatlantic trip . I did not attend any shows apart from Harry O ( The Irish guy ) so I won’t be able to review Harry O was pretty good and certainly put people in the mood to tour Dublin and Belfast . He had a full house each time Embarkation in NY was a disaster . Got there at 1230 designated time and stood in line for four hours before getting onboard. The line was

Mixed Bag 2nd NCL Transatlantic

A cruise is what you make it and, in my experience, largely depends on where you choose to focus, whether that's on what brings you Joy or what is iritating you. All in all, I had a wonderful experience... AND there are also some "growth opportunities" for NCL to note in my "mixed bag" review below. The Good:• Pleasant, smooth sailing in what can be rough seas at this time of year•

We are not new to cruising so we do have some things to compare this to. This was the cruise of a lifetime for us. It wasn't perfect, but close to it--hence the 5 star rating. The entertainment was excellent, food was good, service great. Loved all of the ports. The embarkation was rough, but most of it was out of the control of NCL. They did their best by offering sandwiches, drinks, and

First the good. The itinerary was great. Our balcony cabin was decent (hopefully they add power outlets by the beds). The bad: as others have said, the layout of the ship means too many things going on competing for noise and space in the atrium. We definitely would do this same itinerary again. Our cabin steward was great. The food was definitely decent, although the menu tended to be more
